Description

From a project called Diary based on the view of Ed Milano’s garden from his studio. He painted his garden every day between 2011 and 2012 then selected four images to develop into print form. There is one print for each season and the suite is called Four Days.

Ed Miliano was born in New York in 1954. He received a BFA in 1976 from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. Before becoming a full-time artist, Ed worked for over twenty-five years as a designer and illustrator in the USA and Ireland. His work is most often about nature and landscape and, in particular, man-made landscapes like gardens. Ed sees gardens as transitional spaces that link where we live to the larger, natural landscape. They are bridges between domestic life and the natural world.
