Barbara Rae, Pueblo, Screen print
SO Fine Art Editions is delighted to announce a solo show of works by artist Barbara Rae. The show will feature prints made by the artist over her career depict her many travels. Rae immerses herself in the culture of each location she captures on paper, to create pieces that reflect the spirit of each place. Vibrant colours are used to represent the diverse landscapes from New Mexico to Ireland. Elected to the Royal Academy in 1996, and awarded a CBE in 1999, she has been a Member of the Royal Fine Art Commission for Scotland since 1995 and was a Member of the Board of the British School at Rome in 1998. Rae has also been awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the Royal College of Art, and Honorary Doctorates from both Napier University and Aberdeen University.The exhibition will begin March 6 with an opening hosted by the artist and run until April 19.
