Biography
Deirdre Breen graduated in 2008 with a BA in Graphic Design from Limerick School of Art & Design. She spent 4 years in London working as a multi-disciplinary designer and was an active member of the artist-led project Graphic Birdwatching, which dealt with gender representation in the design industry.

From 2011 to 2013, she was a member of the curatorial team for the annual Graphic Design Walk as part of The London Design Festival, an open walk through East London’s creative studios, celebrating the work and practice of London’s female designers.

She returned to Ireland in 2013 and has been working as a graphic designer for Design Factory. She is a practicing artist and member of Damn Fine Print.

Her work is an exploration of shape and form through adventures in colour, geometry, gradation and repetition. She takes inspiration from diverse scapes and vistas, extracting and abstracting elements of form and playfully rearranging shapes to create geometric compositions.
