Biography

Richard Lawlor is a Dublin based printmaker and a member of The Graphic Studio Dublin. He recently graduated in Fine Art print from Dun Laoghaire College, Design and Technology and has been in several group shows since.

He specialises in copper plate etching. His work is mainly figurative and reflective of historic film stills and photography based on characters whose lives have involved tragedy of one kind or another. The artist describes his subjects as inhabitants of forgotten stories too tragic or obscure in their own time due to the sadness of their existence and demise.
