Biography

Mary Nagle studied Graphic Design at Limerick School of Art and Design (LSAD) graduating in 1979, having previously studied and graduated in Art Teaching.
After a period on the Butler House Scholarship Programme at Kilkenny Design Workshops (KDW), the National Design Centre, she worked as in house designer for Shannon Development Company.
In 1982 she established MN Design, a professional design practice undertaking cultural, educational and corporate projects. Clients include: University of Limerick, National Library of Ireland, Custom House Docks Development Authority, Exhibition of Visual Art (EVA), Belltable Arts Centre, Occasional Press Publishers, Shannon Development Company, Island Theatre Company, Theatre Omnibus, Mary Immaculate College of Education, Limerick Corporation, Clare County Council, Mount Juliet, Murray O’Laoire Architects, GPA Bolton Library.

Mary also began her career in education in 1982, lecturing at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level at Limerick School of Art and Design and Mary Immaculate College of Education( MIC). She established Tabula Press fine art publishing in 2006. Since 2014 she has been engaged in a fine art practice working in mixed mediarelief compositions and small sculptures.
