Biography
Luke has always had a fascination with contemporary design and in particular he loves the simplicity and balance they suggest. Through screen-printing Luke rebuilds these structures using simple shapes and overlapping transparent layers and colours, His hand cut Paper stencils makes Luke’s work very hands on and unique. His architectural structures are broken down into the simplest forms folding and unfolding, these planes orientate in space as the flat image becomes almost three dimensional. Luke’s use of colour highlights the depth of these unique forms and gives them visual energy. His vision is to create work that is clean and crisp that can complement modern-day interiors. Luke Graduated from Art and Design in 2018 and since has been working full time as an artist. He has exhibited work throughout Ireland and internationally.
