Biography

Born in Hexham, England, in 1966, Jonathan Hunter is an MA graduate of the National College of Art and Design and is based in Ireland. In 2008 he was an invited Resident Artist at the prestigious Josef and Anni Albers Foundation in Bethany, Connecticut, USA.  Hunter’s paintings are vibrant explorations of landscapes and people, with bright colours and organic lines.
His work forms part of many important public and private collections including: AIB Art Collection, Office of Public Works, University College Dublin, Hennessy Craig, National University of Ireland, and many private collections.
