Biography

Colm Mac Athlaoich is an Irish born artist based in Dublin, working primarily in illustration, painting and print. He works across many themes and influences such as landscape and architecture, people, music and colour – often letting the process determine the outcome and allowing subconscious patterns to emerge within exciting abstractions of reality.

Mac Athlaoich has been an exhibiting painter, illustrator and printmaker since 2003, becoming a member of the Graphic Studio Printmakers in 2005. He has exhibited in Ireland and abroad, with works traveling as part of the Office of Public Works Collection.

In 2006 he co-founded Monster Truck Gallery and studios. He has worked as a profile and editorial illustrator for the Sunday Tribune and has contributed to many publications both in Ireland and abroad.
