Biography

Angela Fewer is a painter and multi media artist based in Cork, Ireland. Having qualified as an architect in 1969 from University College Dublin, Angela Fewer received an Honours Degree in Fine Art from the Crawford College Of Art in 1992. Her practice consists of painting, drawing, and collage, combined to create a fantastically conceived architectural space using reality, reference, inference, and imagination. She exhibits widely both in Ireland and abroad.

Fewer has taken part in many arts festivals including Boyle 2008-2013, Kinsale Arts Festival 2009, Kilkenny Arts Festival 1998/9 and many more. She has participated in residencies including Yad Vashem Israel 1997, Sarajevo Bosnia 2008, Cill Rialaig, Co. Kerry 2009, and in 2015 she has been invited as a Fellow to Ballinglen Arts Center.

Her work is in many public and private collections including University College Dublin, University College Cork., Cork Institute Of Technology, Irish Life Assurance Dublin, Boyle Civic Collection, A.I.R.Bank etc. Fewer has received many awards from the Arts Council of Ireland, The American Institute Of Foreign Studies, Gedenk Kunst Austria, and other international agencies.
